Booking Terms and Conditions For Bookings

We are happy to guarantee that yours will be the only event taking place at the agreed time and date as stated on the booking form, ensuring The Beverley Barn is exclusively yours. All venue hire is inclusive of VAT at the prevailing rate and The Beverley Barn is a non- smoking venue apart from outside designated areas.
Exclusive hire of the Beverley Barn starts from the moment guests arrive at the venue, until midnight the same day. The venue fully closes at 00.00hours and we request that it is fully vacated by then. We recommend carriages at 23.45.
A non-refundable booking fee of £700 will be required to secure the booking. The final non-refundable balance is due 3 months prior to the event taking place, the date of which will be written on the bottom of this contract. The maximum number of people at any function is 170 and a refundable damage waver of £300 is due 12 weeks in advance and may be withheld if our conditions are not met.
All payments are non-refundable and cannot be returned or transferred under any circumstances and any cancellations must be put in writing, sent recorded delivery and acknowledged by The Beverley Barn in writing, otherwise the full balance will be due on the final balance date listed below.
The Beverley Barn does not have a license to hold a wedding ceremony.
Our insurance only offers cover for the services we provide, all other outside services such as entertainers, photographers and caterers must produce copies of their public liability insurance certificate and PAT certificate at least 6 weeks prior to the function.
The hirer will be responsible for any damage which may have been caused to the premises; its furniture, fabric, flooring or grounds by persons attending the function. We reserve the right to charge damaged / missing items deposit when deemed appropriate. The Hirer should obtain appropriate insurance cover.
Third Party Services
There is no contractual liability between The Beverley Barn in respect of any other third parties such as, Florists, taxis, coaches, photographers, DJ’s, bands, caterers etc. hired by you. While we are happy and confident in our recommendations on our website and suppliers brochure, which are made in good faith you must satisfy yourselves about the services they offer before you enter into any contract with them.
Payment terms in respect of any third party services will be between you and any relevant third parties.
Please supply The Beverley Barn with a comprehensive list of all suppliers that will be on site on the day of your function at least 12 weeks before the confirmed date on the booking form.
All third parties have access from 9am and must vacate the premises and all equipment by 1am. Any third party suppliers introduced by you must satisfy The Beverley Barn that they are fully compliant with all statutory regulations, in particular with regards to public liability insurance, food hygiene and electrical safety.
Live bands must cease at 10:30 and all electrical equipment bought on to the premises must hold current P.A.T. test certificates. Entertainer’s equipment may not be bought onto the premises until the day of hire and all equipment must be removed by 1am the following day. For the comfort and safety of your guests and in accordance with our entertainment licence to operate considerately within the surrounding area, namely sound limitation set to 90-92 decibels internally however this is still very loud indeed. There is a Music system available for your use throughout the day; this can be a CD or i-pod. Amplified music is not permitted outside, however during day time hours unplugged acoustic performances e.g. strings, guitar, harp, saxophones are welcome.
The Beverley barn do not offer any form of catering. The hirer needs to organize all catering for their event. Caterers have access to the kitchens from 9.00am on the day of hire. All equipment must be removed the same day and the kitchen must be left clean and tidy. We do not accept American Express and only accept card payments above £5 at the bar.
The hirer may provide their own purchased wine and champagne throughout the wedding breakfast only for which there will be a £10 per bottle corkage charge. All other drinks must be purchased from our bar. Please note that no other drinks can be brought onto the premises.
After the speeches and toasts all drinks must be purchased from the bar. No wine, champagne or other drinks may be supplied by the hirer for the evening party.
Underage drinking is strictly prohibited. As per our licensing terms, anyone found drinking alcohol under the age of 18 will be asked to leave the premises. This also applies to any persons over the age of 18 buying alcohol for a minor. The Beverley Barn operates a challenge 25 policy.
We provide a staffed bar from your time of arrival after the ceremony this is included within the hire charge. There will be a Member of staff on site at all times throughout the duration of hire. Please note the bar will be closed until after the wedding ceremony and will open once guests start arriving at The Beverley Barn.
Safety and Liability
You are responsible for any breakages or damage at The Beverley Barn, or theft of any items from the venue by you or any guest of yours, by any of your contractors, or by any of your servants and agree to fully indemnify The Beverley Barn thereof.
A refundable bond of £300.00 is payable 12 weeks prior to your wedding date and may be withheld if there are any damages to The Beverley Barn from your wedding party.
There is no lost property held onsite after an event. All items and possessions are handed to the bride and groom or those delegated to pick up possessions the next day.
The Beverley Barn accepts no responsibility for any gifts or personal possessions left in any area of The Beverley Barn at any point of your wedding.
Whilst we do not seek to limit or exclude our liability on death or personal injury resulting from our proven negligence, we shall be liable to you only for any loss or damage that you suffer if the same has arisen directly from our act, neglect or default. Under no circumstances shall we be liable to you for any indirect or consequential loss or damage of any kind what’s so ever.
No animals can be brought onto the premises, except for guide dogs, and we should be informed if this is the case
The law prohibits smoking of any internal area of the venue. Fireworks and Chinese lanterns are not permitted at The Beverley Barn due to our rural location.
You should be aware that due to the age and features of the property there are numerous hazards associated with uneven, slippery or riven stone surfaces etc. Extra care must be taken by all concerned and in particular children and infants must be supervised at all times.
In the absence of your written notification to the contract, the persons making the booking are deemed to be responsible for the behavior and actions of their guests whilst at The Beverley Barn. Inappropriate and/or offensive/threatening behavior towards other guests or The Beverley Barn staff may result in your event being stopped early or cancelled.
It is a responsibility of the hirer to read and understand the ‘emergency evacuation procedure’ which must be adhered to in the event of a fire.
Wedding insurance is an essential contract part of The Beverley Barn. We reserve the right to view the relevant certificate to ensure all costs are covered in the event of cancellation through unforeseen circumstances. Contracts between you and your chosen insurance broker do not involve The Beverley Barn. A company that you could use for cover is Event Insurance. The Venue closing time is 00.00hours at which time exclusive hire concludes. Our management and team may commence venue clearing. All guests must vacate the premises and surrounding ground.
The barn has flexible table and seating arrangements, depending on the number of guests attending. Round tables and our standard conference chairs will be provided as required (max 12 tables / 120 chairs - extra are available at an additional cost to the hirer) please liaise directly with us to arrange the configuration that you require.
No confetti or confetti bombs are permitted at The Beverley Barn, with the exception of dried or biodegradable confetti, (none dyed) rose petals which may only be thrown on flagged stoned pavers and not on grass or gravel.
Parking spaces at The Beverley Barn are limited to approximately 42 cars under the terms of our planning approval and are designated to certain areas only. We would ask you to be aware of this and encourage your guests to consider the use of taxis/coaches and/or car sharing where possible. The Beverley Barn do not accept responsibility or liability in respect of loss or damage to equipment, vehicles or personal effects belonging to the hirer or their guests during the period of hire. Any vehicles left overnight must be in the car park and must be removed no later than 10:30am the following morning. Any vehicles that are left elsewhere at The Beverley Barn may be subject to removal at a charge to the hirer.
These conditions shall prevail over any terms and conditions contained in any other document whatsoever and shall be deemed to have been accepted by you upon completion of the booking form. No variation shall be effective unless it has been agreed specifically in writing by an authorized representative of The Beverley Barn.
The contract between you and us shall be governed in all respects by the Laws of England and you hereby submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English Courts.
The Beverley Barn will not be liable to the client under any circumstances if it’s performance and products is prevented or impaired due to war, industrial action, fire, acts of God including adverse weather conditions and earthquakes, shortages or unavailability of labour or materials, laws or governmental restrictions which conflict with the terms of this Agreement, or any other matter beyond the reasonable control of The Beverley Barn.
The Beverley Barn reserves the right to vary any or all of the terms and conditions prior to any event, in which case a revised set of terms and conditions will be sent to the hirer at the address given, and must be signed by the hirer prior to any event.
The Beverley Barn reserves the right to refuse a booking application for any reason at its absolute discretion, and no contract exists between us, until a booking is confirmed by letter or email by us.
All information is, to the best of our knowledge, up to date and accurate. Since facilities and prices can from time to time change, it is essential to check that they are suitable for your requirements at the time of booking.
These terms becoming binding once your contract is signed.
