Many Hands Market

On Sunday 21st June, we had the pleasure of welcoming the very first Many Hands Market to The Beverley Barn, and what a wonderful day it was!

The weather was warm and bright, with just enough cloud cover to keep everyone comfortable throughout the afternoon.

It was perfect for exploring the market, getting creative by trying different activities including pottery making, wool weaving, making dream catchers, catching up with friends and, of course, letting the children burn off some energy on the fantastic bouncy castles from J Bounce Beverley

From the moment the doors opened at 2pm, the barn was filled with a real sense of community.

Families wandered between the stalls, guests meeting talented local makers, growers, artists and small businesses from across the region, each with their own story to tell and products to share.

One of the things my mum and I loved most was seeing people slow down, be present and in the moment.

There was no rush – just conversations, laughter, children playing and visitors taking the time to discover the people behind the businesses they were supporting.

As a family-run venue, supporting local businesses has always been something we're passionate about. Many Hands Market shares those same values, bringing together independent businesses and creating a welcoming space where people can shop locally while enjoying a relaxed day out.

The market itself is a collaboration between Karina Clappison and Yasmin Clappison (owner of The Beverley Barn), who share a genuine passion for supporting local businesses and strengthening our community. Their vision extends far beyond simply creating a market; it's about reconnecting people with one another and celebrating the importance of community.

Many Hands Market is about taking us back to our grassroots values—supporting independent makers, growers, artists and creators, encouraging traditional skills, learning from one another and creating opportunities for meaningful conversations.

In a world where so much of life happens online, it's a chance to slow down, meet new people, discover local talent and remind ourselves of the value of shopping small and supporting those around us.

A huge thank you to every stallholder, volunteer (Martyn) and visitor who supported our very first gathering.

Your enthusiasm, kindness and encouragement made it a truly special day, and we're incredibly excited to see this community continue to grow.

We look forward to welcoming everyone back to The Beverley Barn for the next Many Hands Market taking place on Sunday 2nd August 2025 from 1pm-5pm and continuing to celebrate everything that's wonderful about local businesses and community.
