Sustainability isn’t about being perfect. It’s about doing the little things, supporting local businesses, reducing waste where we can, and making sure this beautiful corner of East Yorkshire can be enjoyed for many years to come.
We’re incredibly lucky to call this place home, a literal home, our home and we genuinely care about looking after it for our couples, us and our future generations.
A Barn Full of History
The Beverley Barn wasn’t built yesterday.
Originally a working dairy barn, built in the 1950's and it has been lovingly restored and given a new purpose and lease of life hosting the best celebrations East Yorkshire has to offer!
Rather than building something new, we’ve embraced the character that’s already here—beautiful, original, wooden beams, original features and a undisturbed countryside setting that really doesn’t need much dressing up or styling at all.
Supporting Local Means Everything to Us
One of the things we’re most proud of is working alongside so many fantastic local businesses.
From florists and photographers to musicians, cake makers and independent accommodation providers, we love recommending people who genuinely care about what they do and their clients too.
Not only does this help support our local community, but it also means our couples receive an incredible level of service from suppliers who know and love The Beverley Barn just as much as we do.
Food That Brings People Together
Great food creates great memories!
Through our sister company, The Cart Shed Catering, we work with trusted local suppliers wherever possible to create delicious, seasonal menus.
We carefully plan every wedding to minimise unnecessary waste while making sure no one leaves hungry!
Beautiful Doesn’t Have to Mean Excessive
One of our favourite things to hear is:
“We don’t actually need to decorate the barn much because the barn is already so beautiful.”
With exposed beams, twinkly fairy lights, stunning gardens, countryside views (even of The Beverley Minster) and natural textures throughout, many couples choose to keep things simple and let the venue do the talking.
